Woodland Health and Wellness Elementary Magnet School is proud to have been recognized in the Wichita Eagle's 2024 Best in Wichita competition, earning a silver in the Elementary School category. 

Woodland is a neighborhood magnet school that provides a student-centered learning environment that integrates district academic standards with an emphasis on incorporating health and wellness education with math, writing, science, and social studies standards.  These experiences include quarterly health and wellness focus themes, field trips that focus on health and wellness activities, Active School implementation in the daily core classrooms, lunch in the classroom for social/emotional development, and an expanded and structured recess opportunity for each student to ensure that their brains and bodies are ready to learn!
